General Overview
Due to the sensitive and regulated nature of the products we sell—particularly firearms and ammunition—certain items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable. However, we do offer returns or exchanges on eligible products under specific conditions.

Firearms – All Sales Final
ALL FIREARM SALES ARE FINAL.
Federal law prohibits the return of firearms once they have been transferred to a customer by a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. Once you accept the transfer and take possession of a firearm, it becomes a used item and cannot be returned.

Please inspect your firearm at the FFL dealer before accepting the transfer.
If the firearm is incorrect, damaged, or defective upon arrival at your dealer, do not accept the transfer. Instead, instruct the dealer to return the item to us and contact our support team immediately. We will work with you to resolve the issue, either through a replacement or refund if appropriate.

Ammunition – No Returns like https://www.guns.com
Ammunition sales are final and non-returnable.
Due to safety concerns, legal restrictions, and liability issues, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any ammunition—whether new, surplus, or reloaded.

Please ensure that the caliber and specifications of the ammunition you order are correct for your firearm. If you have questions before ordering, we encourage you to reach out to our support team.

Tactical Gear, Accessories, and Apparel
Returns for non-firearm, non-ammunition items—such as holsters, optics, apparel, range bags, magazines, or other gear—may be eligible for return within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the following conditions:

Item must be unused, uninstalled, and in new condition

Must be returned in original packaging with all parts, manuals, tags, and accessories

Must be accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Used, damaged, altered, or improperly packaged items may be denied a refund or be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%

Return Process
To request a return:

Include your order number, a detailed reason for the return, and photos if relevant (e.g., damage or incorrect item).

If approved, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number with return instructions.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the item was damaged in transit or shipped in error.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund. If approved, the refund will be issued to your original method of payment within 5–10 business days.

Please note:

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

If your original order included a “Free Shipping” promotion, actual shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.

Refunds may take additional time to reflect on your account, depending on your bank or credit card provider.

Order Cancellations
Orders can only be canceled if they have not yet been processed or shipped. Once processing has begun, especially for firearms requiring FFL coordination, cancellation may not be possible.

To request cancellation, contact us immediately. If the order has already shipped, you may need to follow the return process for eligible items.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Please include photos of the packaging and product. We will replace or refund the item at no cost to you, provided the item is returned in accordance with our policy.

Do not accept firearms that are incorrect or visibly damaged from the FFL dealer—these must be returned prior to transfer.

Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned under any circumstance:

Firearms after transfer

Ammunition

Used or installed parts/accessories

Items marked “Final Sale” or “Clearance”

Gift cards or promotional codes

Firearm cleaning supplies or lubricants

Special orders or custom-configured items

Compliance Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to know and comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the purchase and ownership of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. We do not issue refunds or accept returns for items refused, confiscated, or denied due to legal restrictions.

If an item is returned due to a failed background check or refusal by your selected FFL, you may be charged a restocking fee and responsible for return shipping.

Tactical Ammo Firearm & Lower Receiver Returns

When you receive the firearm or lower receiver at the FFL, please inspect it thoroughly before accepting the transfer. The policies outlined below are only for guns or lower receivers that are picked up from the FFL. Returns are only eligible when the product has been used properly and is returned in its original condition.

If a firearm or lower receiver is not picked up within 14 days of arrival, including failed background check, not legally allowed to own, refusal to pick up, or any other reason the transfer is not otherwise able to be completed, the transaction will be canceled. TacticalAmmoShop.com will process a cancelation and return of the product, minus any fees, a $30 return shipping fee, original shipping charges, and a 15% restocking fee. 

 

New Gun and New Lower Receiver Return Policy 

All new gun & new lower receiver sales are final. As a reminder, new guns are eligible for any applicable manufacturer’s warranties. If you need help contacting the manufacturer, please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist.

 

Certified Used Guns 

TacticalAmmoShop.com offers a ‘no questions asked’ return policy for TacticalAmmoshop.com Certified Used Guns. For a period of 3 calendar days after physical transfer, Guns.com will accept a return of the firearm regardless of reason for a full refund, minus any fees, a $30 return shipping fee, original shipping charges, and a 15% restocking fee. 

Guns.com will accept the return of Tacticalammoshop.com Certified Used Guns with mechanical defects for a full refund, provided such return is made within 7 calendar days of physical transfer of the firearm. Tacticalammoshop.com will cover all shipping fees in the case of a mechanical defect.

After 7 calendar days, all sales are final.

 

Non-Certified Used Guns 

TacticalAmmoShop.com will accept the return of Non-Certified Used Guns with mechanical defects for a full refund, provided such return is made within 3 calendar days of physical transfer of the firearm. Guns.com will cover all shipping fees in the case of a mechanical defect.

After 3 calendar days, all sales are final.

 

AMMUNITION, OPTICS, MAGAZINES, HOLSTERS, KNIVES, HUNTING GEAR, RANGE GEAR, UPPER RECEIVERS & OTHER ACCESSORIES;

Guns.com does not accept returns on Ammunition, Optics, Magazines & all other accessories. All accessory sales are final. Optics, magazines and other accessories may be eligible for any applicable manufacturer’s warranties. Guns.com Branded Merchandise can be returned within 30 days of receipt. We provide free return shipping on Guns.com branded merchandise and on all clothing eligible for return.

 

Items Lost or Damaged in Shipment

General Return Guidelines

  • To start the return process, contact us or call 1-334-5212-143.
  • If you receive INCORRECT OR MISSING items, please contact us.
  • Shipping labels are emailed and will need to be printed by the customer.
  • All returns on orders paid by a credit card will receive a credit to the card used on the purchase once confirmation of receipt of merchandise has been made and inspection has been completed. Depending on your financial institution, refunds are credited between 3 to 5 business days after issuance.
  • We do not provide an exchange option. Simply place a new order for the desired merchandise. Since items tend to sell out quickly, we recommend immediately placing an order for the replacement merchandise. 
  • Tacticalammoshop.com reserves the right to limit or decline returns.
  • Keep in mind, most manufacturers provide a manufacturer’s warranty, and any product issues should be submitted to the manufacturer first.
  • Returned clothing may not be washed, worn or have any damage caused by accident. We recommend following washing and handling information as we will not honor returns due to improper care or use, or the natural breakdown of colors or materials over extended time and use.
  • Any returns received that do not qualify for our Return Policy may be returned to the customer at their expense. When possible, the expense will be charged to the credit card on file for the purchase. This includes items that are non-returnable, damaged, misused or not purchased from tacticalammoshop.com.
